Climat « Les MURES » is without a doubt the best terroir of Pouilly Loché. The clay and limestone soil is deep red because of iron oxide. Let us insist : it is a Great Terroir ! « local old people » here use the verb « pouillote » about it in reference to Pouilly. Here is a rich mineral and never-ending wine on fruit yet needing 2 to 3 years before it comes fully to the fore.
